Fintech & Regulatory Associate

About the role

AC Legales, a boutique law firm specializing in corporate law, financial regulation, fintech and digital assets, is looking for an Associate Lawyer to join its team in San Salvador, El Salvador. The firm advises local and international clients on setting up, structuring and running their businesses in El Salvador. The position is on-site and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with regulatory licensing and authorization processes before the National Commission of Digital Assets (CNAD) and other Salvadoran authorities.
• Draft, review and analyze business plans, compliance policies, internal procedures and regulatory documentation.
• Support the preparation and submission of Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) licensing applications.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on fintech, digital assets, financial regulation and compliance requirements.
• Review business models and operational structures for compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks.
• Coordinate with international clients' legal, compliance and technical teams during regulatory processes.
• Prepare legal opinions, regulatory responses and other legal documentation.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney authorized to practice law in El Salvador.
• 1-3 years of professional legal experience, preferably in corporate, commercial or regulatory law.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail and ability to work independently; proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Preferred: experience or interest in fintech, financial regulation, digital assets or compliance; previous law firm or in-house legal experience; authorization to practice as a Notary Public in El Salvador.
