SSDP Program Manager – Safeguarding & Dignified Programming (Remote)

About the role

The Safeguarding and Safe, Secure, and Dignified Programming (SSDP) Program Manager will lead the implementation of CRS’s safeguarding policies and the safe‑and‑dignified programming framework across a multi‑sector emergency response in Cuba. Working remotely, the manager will support the project team and local Caritas partners to ensure protection standards are met throughout food, WASH, and shelter activities.

Key responsibilities

• Train frontline staff and partner associates on identifying, receiving, and escalating safeguarding and protection concerns.
• Apply the CRS Partner Safeguarding Policy and Procedure, conduct assessments, and monitor capacity‑strengthening plans for partners.
• Provide technical assistance, accompaniment, and mentoring on safe and dignified programming tools and systems.
• Plan and facilitate safeguarding and protection risk assessments, develop mitigation plans, and ensure compliance with the Safeguarding Risk Management Policy.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor risk matrices and use CRS‑approved communication messages.

Required profile

• Proven experience in safeguarding, protection, or safe‑and‑dignified programming within humanitarian contexts.
• Strong knowledge of CRS safeguarding policies and partner safeguarding standards.
• Ability to train and mentor diverse staff and partner teams remotely.
• Experience planning and managing risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
