Azure Data Platform Engineer (Part-Time, Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Azure Data Platform Engineer to help build a secure, production‑ready data platform in Azure for a LATAM‑focused project. The role is fully remote and project‑based, allowing you to work with cutting‑edge Azure services while ensuring compliance with data‑privacy regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage an Azure Data Lake using Bronze, Silver, and Gold zones.
• Configure zone‑based access controls, private access, encryption, geo‑redundancy, and storage lifecycle policies.
• Set up Azure Data Factory with private networking and identity‑based authentication.
• Support data‑governance initiatives, including PHI classification, lineage tracking, and auditability.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
• Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Bronze/Silver/Gold data architectures.
• Experience with Azure private networking and identity‑based access controls.
• Knowledge of customer‑managed encryption keys.
• Familiarity with data governance and lineage tools, preferably Microsoft Purview.
• Background working with sensitive or regulated data is highly desirable.
