Lead Automation Tester in JS

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Automation Tester with strong JavaScript/TypeScript expertise to drive test automation for customer‑facing web applications and APIs within an Agile product team. You will design, implement and maintain automated test suites, collaborate with developers and ensure reliable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs.
• Enhance existing automation frameworks and utilities.
• Build test coverage for new features and regression scenarios.
• Execute functional and regression testing as part of the release process.
• Analyse test failures, work with developers to identify root causes and resolve defects.
• Review requirements, contribute to test planning and test case design.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and test‑management tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross‑functional team members.
• Share automation knowledge and best practices across the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of test‑automation experience for web applications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Required skills

• JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js.
• Automation frameworks such as WebDriverIO or Selenium.
• API testing tools like Postman.
• Git‑based source control.
• CI/CD pipeline integration.
• Test‑management tools (qTest, TestRail).
• Cloud‑based test execution platforms (e.g., LambdaTest).
• Testing authentication and authorization APIs.
• Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with AWS SQS, WebSockets, SAP‑based web applications, mobile automation, and AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot (nice‑to‑have).
