Technical QA Associate

About the role

UJV is seeking a Technical QA Associate to act as the gatekeeper of deployment stability for its travel‑technology platform. The role focuses on validating software releases, preparing test environments, and providing rapid feedback to product managers, enabling senior engineers to concentrate on architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Execute functional test plans to confirm new features meet product requirements.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge‑case bugs that automated tools may miss.
• Log defects in Jira with clear technical details and collaborate with developers to verify fixes.
• Configure user data and system states in admin portals to set up test environments.
• Work with engineers to define and implement automated data‑seeding scripts.
• Conduct daily health checks on test environments to ensure consistency.
• Provide immediate test results to the TPM for go/no‑go release decisions.
• Maintain test documentation and follow the established defect‑reporting workflow.
• Identify manual test scenarios that could be automated and flag them for prioritisation.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of experience in a technical or analytical role such as testing, support, or product‑adjacent positions.
• Strong organizational abilities and comfort working with complex software systems.
• Attention to detail and a proactive mindset toward improving release quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Postman for API testing.
• Working knowledge of SQL and basic API concepts.
• Experience using Jira for defect tracking.
