Automation Architect (RPA & Agentic AI)

About the role

As an Automation Architect at TELUS Digital, you will partner with Automation Strategists and Business Analysts to translate business process designs into detailed, build‑ready technical architectures for RPA and Agentic AI solutions. You will assess client environments, evaluate existing toolsets, and design scalable, secure automation architectures aligned with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Automation Strategists and Business Analysts to review process maps, BPMN diagrams, and opportunity assessments, identifying deterministic (RPA) and probabilistic (AI) automation breakpoints.
• Assess client technical environments—including RPA platforms, AI toolsets, APIs, data architecture, and cloud infrastructure—to propose optimal automation architectures and tooling recommendations.
• Produce comprehensive system‑level architecture diagrams covering components, APIs, data flows, orchestration logic, queues, AI agents, security controls, logging, monitoring, deployment topology, and data residency considerations.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing automation architectures that bridge business processes and technical implementation.
• Strong ability to evaluate current‑state environments and balance ideal designs with real‑world constraints.
• Expertise in translating complex workflows into detailed technical diagrams and integration contracts.
• Understanding of security, privacy, and data residency requirements for automation solutions.
