Medical Clinic Call Center & Triage Coordinator (Bilingual)

About the role

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and articulate Medical Clinic Call Center & Triage Coordinator to serve as the primary virtual point of contact for our busy medical practice. You will manage high‑volume patient communications, verify insurance eligibility, handle scheduling workflows, and process referrals while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and conduct outbound outreach for scheduling, confirmations, and general inquiries.
• Book, reschedule, and confirm appointments, providing clear preparation instructions.
• Process incoming patient referrals, conduct outreach, and route clinical messages appropriately.
• Identify red‑flag symptoms and urgent situations, escalating them immediately to clinical staff.
• Verify active insurance benefits and update patient demographic, insurance, and guarantor information.
• Sort, process, and route digital faxes, emails, and portal messages related to lab results, records, and pharmacy requests.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in a medical office, call center, patient access center, or healthcare clinic.
• Proven ability to manage steady or heavy phone queues with composure and empathy.
• Hands‑on experience booking appointments and verifying insurance coverage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Bilingual communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
