Auxiliar Contable Junior

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accounting Assistant to support the finance team in San Salvador. The role ensures timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, compliance with Salvadoran tax regulations, and assistance with payroll processing.

Key responsibilities

• Enter purchase and sales invoices, fiscal credit vouchers and receipts into the accounting system.
• Maintain and reconcile the VAT purchase and sales books.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and petty‑cash counts.
• File accounting documents physically and digitally for audits and tax authority requests.
• Assist in accounts payable verification and monitor accounts receivable.
• Prepare monthly payroll calculations, applying statutory deductions for AFP, ISSS and income tax.
• Generate, upload and validate payroll files on the online portals of pension fund administrators, resolve rejections and issue contribution certificates.

Required profile

• University student or graduate in Public Accounting with basic knowledge of accounting entries and payroll.
• Commercial high‑school graduate with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.

Required skills

• Basic accounting record‑keeping.
• Payroll processing and statutory deductions.
• Knowledge of Salvadoran tax legislation (Tax Code, VAT Law, Income Tax Law, Commercial Code).
• Bank reconciliation.

What we offer

• Salary range $410–$475.

• Full‑time schedule Monday‑Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
