Cocinero PS – Food Preparation and Service

About the role

The Cook (Cocinero PS) is responsible for preparing and maintaining menu items for customers, following defined recipes, quality standards, hygiene protocols, and environmental practices. The role ensures product availability, safety, and consistency while supporting peak‑demand periods.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and activate kitchen equipment before use, reporting any anomalies to guarantee safety and equipment longevity.
• Receive, store, and manage raw materials (e.g., chicken, potatoes, bread, salads) while monitoring expiration dates.
• Execute breading, frying, and other cooking processes according to established parameters and protocols.
• Monitor hot and cold equipment temperatures regularly, identifying leaks or packaging issues.
• Perform scheduled cleaning tasks: oil drainage and replacement, utensil washing, grease trap cleaning, and overall kitchen and storage area sanitation.
• Control product rotation, manage fryer operation based on demand, and prevent waste.
• Assist with order packaging and delivery during high‑volume periods to meet timing and accuracy targets.
• Support onboarding of new kitchen staff, providing hands‑on training.
• Participate in emergency or special tasks such as opening the outlet, COVID‑19 preventive measures, customer service, and product transfers to satellite locations.
