Construction Estimating Virtual Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimating Virtual Assistant to support our bidding process. You will research bid opportunities, read plans and specifications, perform material and labor takeoffs, and submit complete bids through platforms such as ConstructConnect.

Key responsibilities

• Research construction bid opportunities and submission requirements.
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs.
• Contact vendors and subcontractors to request pricing.
• Compare material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor estimates.
• Prepare and submit complete bids before deadlines.
• Track pending bids, client estimates, and follow‑up activities.
• Email clients, vendors, and subcontractors for updates and provide daily written status reports.
• Attend the weekly Tuesday morning stand‑up call and promptly report any roadblocks or missing information.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction estimating and takeoffs.
• Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
• Experience with ConstructConnect or similar bidding platforms.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, STACK, Procore, or Buildertrend.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent organization, communication, and follow‑up abilities.
• Capacity to manage multiple bids and meetings simultaneously.
