Coordinador de Importaciones – San Juan Opico

About the role

We are looking for an Import Coordinator to manage and optimise the logistics chain for bringing goods into El Salvador. The role supports the three company entities by ensuring timely, traceable shipments and compliance with customs regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and optimise the import logistics process for all products and materials sourced internationally.
• Monitor weekly raw‑material shipments, confirm arrival dates and maintain inventory coverage.
• Create purchase orders for raw materials, supplies and projects directly in SAP.
• Manage the import of machinery, ensuring adherence to current customs legislation and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with the accounting department to settle expenses, provide critical data for import liquidation and keep supplier accounts up to date.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering or a related field.
• Specific knowledge of import and export procedures.
• Experience with port operations and regional freight handling.
• Strong understanding of customs legislation, free‑zone regulations and customs regimes.

Required skills

• Proficient use of SAP for procurement processes.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
