Data Protection Officer

About the role

The Data Protection Officer will ensure compliance with data privacy laws and internal policies, safeguarding the organization’s integrity and employee privacy across all operating regions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement internal policies and procedures to meet legal requirements for collection, storage, use, and disclosure of personal data.
• Monitor current compliance with data privacy regulations, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Coordinate local DPOs, promote knowledge sharing, and ensure a consistent, effective privacy management approach across regions.
• Develop and deliver training programs on data protection laws and best practices for employees.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments in collaboration with data privacy regulators.
• Establish and execute a data privacy incident response plan aligned with legal obligations and corporate policies.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• Relevant certification such as CDPSE, CRISC or other data privacy credentials (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in security operations or data protection roles.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of GDPR and other data protection regulations.
• Familiarity with LATAM and Caribbean privacy laws.
• Understanding of international data protection standards that may affect operations.
