Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads the shipboard Housekeeping division, ensuring all guest areas meet Royal Caribbean’s brand standards of cleanliness and presentation. Reporting to the Hotel Director, this senior manager drives team performance, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency across the vessel.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain brand‑standard cleanliness in guest staterooms, balconies, corridors, officer cabins, laundry, and storage areas.
• Lead, motivate and coach a team of 70+ staff, providing classroom and on‑the‑job training.
• Oversee laundry operations, ensuring the Laundry Master has the tools and support needed for flawless service.
• Develop and manage the Housekeeping budget (>$1M) and monitor revenue streams such as laundry and floral services.
• Coordinate the turnaround day process to have all staterooms ready by 1:00 pm.
• Handle guest concerns directly, following onboard problem‑resolution guidelines.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of managerial experience in housekeeping/laundry for large 4‑ or 5‑star hotels, cruise lines, or comparable hospitality operations.
• Proven ability to supervise at least 70 employees and manage budgets exceeding $1 million annually.
• Strong results‑oriented leadership style with excellent communication and diplomatic skills.
• Flexibility to be assigned across the fleet and willingness to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
