About the role

The University seeks a detail‑oriented Editorial Manager to coordinate the editorial workflow of its academic journals and digital publications. You will ensure high quality standards, manage publishing platforms, and support editorial teams in increasing the visibility of the university’s scientific output.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor all stages of the editorial process for academic journals.
• Guarantee compliance with quality standards and indexing requirements.
• Administer and maintain academic publishing platforms such as Open Journal Systems (OJS) and DSpace.
• Provide technical assistance and training to editorial staff.
• Manage persistent identifiers (DOI, ORCID, ISSN) and track indexing status in databases like Latindex and DOAJ.

Required profile

• Degree in Library Science, Information Science, Communication, Literature, Education, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least one year of experience in editorial management, academic journals, or digital publishing.
• Additional training in academic editing, scientific communication, or OJS management is desirable.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of Open Journal Systems (OJS).
• Experience with DSpace and/or OMP platforms.
• Familiarity with persistent identifiers: DOI, ORCID, ISSN.
• Understanding of academic indexing criteria (Latindex, DOAJ, etc.).
