About the role

The organization is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to join a nationwide building evaluation program in El Salvador. The role involves conducting exterior and interior structural inspections, documenting findings, and applying institutional classification rules to prioritize further assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of buildings according to established protocols.
• Complete technical data sheets with photographs and field sketches.
• Apply classification rules to determine priority levels for structural review.
• Escalate critical cases to senior structural engineers.
• Participate in calibration sessions to align evaluation criteria among peers.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree with a current professional license.
• 2‑3 years of experience in structural design, supervision, inspection, quality control, or rehabilitation.
• Practical knowledge of masonry, reinforced‑concrete frames, metal structures, and mixed structural systems.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work outdoors.
• Eligibility to work in El Salvador (Salvadoran professional).
