About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to lead the technical migration from Azure DevOps Server (on‑premise) to Azure DevOps Services. The role involves designing, automating and executing the migration of repositories, pipelines, artifacts and related configurations in a secure, controlled and traceable manner for teams in Costa Rica and El Salvador.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze Azure DevOps Server and Azure DevOps Services environments to identify dependencies and incompatibilities.
• Design, implement and parameterise YAML pipelines for migration tasks.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure DevOps REST APIs.
• Execute inventory, pre‑flight, validation and migration processes for Azure Repos, Pipelines and Artifacts.
• Manage migration of NPM and NuGet packages, handling both project‑scoped and organization‑scoped feeds.
• Implement safeguards to prevent duplicate or overwritten package versions.
• Configure secure authentication using Variable Groups, Secrets and Personal Access Tokens.
• Troubleshoot issues related to pipelines, connectivity, permissions, APIs and package managers.
• Set up logging, metrics and controls to ensure full traceability of migrations.
• Document technical decisions, incidents and lessons learned.
• Create reusable templates and automation components for future migration waves.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in development, DevOps, automation or infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps Server (on‑premise) and Azure DevOps Services.
• Proven experience building Azure Pipelines with YAML.
• Strong knowledge of Git repositories and Azure Repos.
• Experience managing Azure Artifacts, NPM and NuGet packages.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and using Azure DevOps REST APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, variable groups, secrets and PAT authentication.
• Experience with self‑hosted Windows agents and pipeline troubleshooting.
