Internship – Partnerships & Financing for Development

About the role

This internship is based in the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in San Salvador, El Salvador. The intern will work under the direct supervision of the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Officer, contributing to inter‑agency coordination, strategic planning, and financing for development.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and systematise inter‑agency and multi‑stakeholder meetings to promote coherence across UN entities.
• Assist in coordinating and following up inter‑agency initiatives aligned with the UN Cooperation Framework and national development priorities.
• Support research and develop knowledge products on innovative financing, including concept notes, briefs and bulletins.
• Help compile and organise inputs for strategic planning exercises such as the Country Analysis.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of resource‑mobilisation strategies, including support to pooled‑funding mechanisms.

• Selected on an as‑needed basis during the posting period.
• Reports to the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Officer.
