Junior Software Engineer – Entry Level

About the role

RSM is looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer 1 to join its software development team. In this entry‑level position you will help design, build, test, document and support software solutions across web, desktop and client‑server platforms while working closely with senior engineers and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and implement software solutions following established standards and best practices.
• Participate in the full software development life‑cycle, including requirements review, design, construction, unit testing, documentation and implementation support.
• Analyze business and non‑functional requirements and translate them into clear design deliverables.
• Build reusable, extendable and maintainable components using available technologies.
• Assist with troubleshooting, debugging and resolving moderately complex software issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA, technical leads, project managers and business contacts for testing, planning, estimation and status updates.
• Produce technical documentation that aligns with team and development standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational knowledge of one or more programming languages.
• Eagerness to learn, collaborate and deliver high‑quality solutions in a team‑oriented environment.
