Manager, Tax Process Strategy & Solutions

About the role

RSM is seeking a Manager for its Tax Process Strategy & Solutions team. The role will support process leads and tax practice subject‑matter experts to align products and tools with the firm’s long‑term vision, driving scalability and sustainability across tax engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with process leads and Tax practice SMEs to understand product fit within business area visions.
• Serve as the primary internal functional process owner/SME for assigned third‑party or custom‑developed solutions used by tax engagement teams.
• Maintain product expertise throughout its lifecycle and develop deep insight into user experience and needs.
• Work with Change Management and practice leaders to set usage and product‑related targets, then assess performance against those targets.
• Contribute to the long‑term digital ecosystem strategy, including process mapping and business requirement definition.
• Partner with practice leaders and SMEs to analyze, prioritize, and translate business needs into requirements for Business Analysts.

Required profile

• Proven experience defining end‑to‑end business processes within tax or professional services environments.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with product delivery teams (custom or third‑party solutions) to optimize operations.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on scalability, sustainability, and competitive advantage.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across tax professionals, IT, and broader firm functions.
• Experience driving change management initiatives and measuring product adoption.
