Mercaderista – Trade Marketing Specialist

About the role

The Mercaderista will promote our products across various distribution channels by conducting tastings, free samples, special promotions, and explaining product benefits. Working on the trade‑marketing plan, the role aims to increase product visibility at points of sale and influence customer purchase decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Recommend products to customers at retail locations, explaining features, benefits, storage, packaging, distribution, and contraindications.
• Execute merchandising activities in stores to stimulate sales and strengthen brand positioning.
• Carry out product demonstrations, tastings, and free‑sample distributions using persuasive dialogue and brand scripts.
• Manage promotional materials, sampling equipment, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Conduct surveys, product acceptance tests, and internal marketing activities as required by the marketing manager.
• Travel between retail points and occasionally between cities, maintaining constant direct contact with customers.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0‑2 years of experience in similar customer‑facing or merchandising roles.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Required skills

• Ability to handle and present promotional and sampling equipment.

What we offer

• Full‑time schedule: Tuesday to Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Sunday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.
