Project Director – Anti‑Trafficking (TIP)

About the role

The Project Director (PD) will lead the strategic, technical, operational, financial, and managerial aspects of a complex anti‑trafficking project in El Salvador. Reporting to the U.S. Department of State TIP Office and working closely with the U.S. Embassy, government partners, and consortium members, the PD ensures high‑quality implementation and compliance with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic leadership and technical direction for all project activities.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the U.S. Department of State TIP Office, U.S. Embassy, Government of El Salvador, consortium and implementing partners.
• Develop and oversee annual work plans, implementation plans, MEL plans, risk management plans, and adaptive management processes.
• Ensure project activities are evidence‑based, aligned with donor and government priorities, and meet World Vision standards.
• Manage project budget, forecasting, financial compliance, and contractual deliverables.
• Promote learning, knowledge management, and dissemination of best practices.
• Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Strengthen coordination with government agencies, civil society, and community stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit high‑quality technical, financial, and performance reports.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience managing large‑scale humanitarian or anti‑trafficking projects.
• Strong understanding of anti‑trafficking systems, victim protection, and justice‑sector engagement.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive results in complex environments.
