About the role

The Senior Tax professional will develop tax analyses and provide specialized technical advice to ensure compliance with current Salvadoran tax regulations. The role involves preparing memoranda, reports and technical opinions while reviewing tax determinations to mitigate fiscal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth tax analysis and deliver advisory services on Salvadoran tax matters.
• Prepare memoranda, technical reports and opinions for internal and client use.
• Review tax determinations and implement risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Assist in tax audits conducted by the Dirección General de Impuestos Internos (DGII).
• Structure transactions from an efficient tax perspective.
• Interpret and apply Salvadoran tax legislation, including the Tax Code, Income Tax (ISR), VAT and transfer‑pricing rules.

Required profile

• Completed degree in Public Accounting or Legal Sciences (preferably a lawyer/notary).
• 3–5 years of experience in tax consulting, legal firms, Big 4, or corporate tax departments.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Required skills

• Salvadoran tax legislation (Tax Code, ISR, VAT, transfer pricing).
• Tax audit experience with DGII.
• Preparation of technical tax opinions.
• Tax structuring of corporate operations.
• Intermediate‑advanced English communication.
• Microsoft Office (intermediate level).
