Transaction Tax Automation Supervisor

About the role

RSM is seeking a seasoned Sales and Use Tax Automation Supervisor to lead its State and Local Transaction Tax Automation practice. The role combines tax expertise with technology implementation, supporting middle‑market and Fortune 1000 clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage client relationships to generate new tax automation business.
• Lead implementation projects using platforms such as Avalara, Thomson Reuters OneSource, and Vertex.
• Organize daily project tasks, work plans, and ensure timely execution.
• Collaborate with client teams and internal staff to drive successful project outcomes.
• Define deliverables, create process maps, system design documentation, configure systems, and develop user‑acceptance testing.
• Produce training materials and oversee staff and resource coordination.
• Manage project budgets and align financial objectives with client expectations.
• Identify opportunities for add‑on services and support cross‑selling across RSM lines of business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Computer Science.
• Minimum four years of experience working with large ERP systems.
