Accountant III – General Ledger

About the role

Blackhawk Network is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its Global Financial Services Center in El Salvador. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of high‑volume transactional data, supporting period‑end close, and providing accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex, high‑volume account reconciliations and identify risk areas.
• Execute period‑end duties, including accruals and schedule preparation for accurate financial results.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely financials.
• Conduct variance analysis and ad‑hoc financial or management reporting.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and develop effective solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience covering the full financial closing cycle.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and SOX compliance.
• Proven ability to analyze large data sets, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
• High initiative, self‑motivation, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (advanced Excel).
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
