About the role

The Chicken Catcher is responsible for safely handling live poultry, moving birds from the coop to loading trucks while meeting strict quality and timing standards. The role works under the supervision of a shift manager and requires constant communication about any issues that arise.

Key responsibilities

• Catch and transport chickens from the coop to trucks, ensuring trucks are loaded on schedule.
• Verify bird quality, rejecting any chicken that is underweight or of poor condition.
• Handle birds carefully to avoid bruises and follow all quality‑control policies.
• Report incidents or irregularities to the supervisor immediately to maintain productivity.
• Adapt to a work environment with feather dust, humidity, rain, ammonia and occasional night shifts.

Required profile

• Primary education (at least fourth‑grade level).
• Student from fourth grade onward or equivalent.
• Basic mathematics knowledge.
• Minimum six months experience in a similar poultry‑handling position.
