About the role

The Maintenance Assistant supports the plant’s upkeep by performing preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance, as well as installing new equipment. The role follows the plant’s maintenance plan and complies with safety, quality, environmental and productivity standards to keep assets safe, available and operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on machinery, equipment and general systems such as refrigeration, water, steam, air, electricity and electromechanical installations.
• Install machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructure required for plant projects.
• Provide accurate feedback on work orders, documenting tasks performed and associated costs.
• Report consumption of spare parts, materials, fuels and lubricants to ensure proper inventory tracking.
• Identify improvement opportunities to increase asset reliability.
• Execute maintenance tasks according to the corrective and preventive maintenance schedule.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (Diversified/Bachiller).
• 0‑2 years of experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Industrial technician background.
• Experience in masonry work is a plus.
