Commercial & Residential Glass Estimator (Remote)

About the role

A Minnesota-based glass contracting business, run by a direct owner, is hiring its first remote estimator to handle both commercial and residential glass projects. The estimator works closely with the owner/project manager in a small, agile team, producing precise estimates and managing the pipeline from lead sourcing to final cost generation. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM CT, paid 1,500 to 2,500 USD per month.

Key responsibilities

• Generate monthly commercial and residential glass estimates using Procore and Excel.
• Cover glazing categories such as storefronts, doors, windows, curtain walls, glass handrails, glass walls, shower doors, mirrors and residential glass replacements (excluding auto glass).
• Factor in U.S. market pricing, material costs and labor rates.
• Sourcing, reviewing, tracking and evaluating project bids through Plan Hub, Building Connected and Procore.
• Maintain a steady pipeline and estimate workflow, coordinating with site teams, vendors and manufacturers.
• Work exclusively for the client, communicating mainly by email and instant message.

Required profile

• 3+ years of estimating experience in construction trades or building systems, with direct knowledge of the glazing/glass industry.
• Specialized knowledge of glass, storefronts, curtain walls, handrails, glass walls, shower doors and mirrors.
• Exceptional written and spoken English, able to reach out to vendors, clients and team members.
• Proactive, organized and able to produce several accurate estimates per day without close supervision.
• Nice to have: familiarity with U.S. glazing systems and manufacturers such as Oldcastle, Tubelight and Kawneer (Conair); a portfolio of past estimation work; civil engineering background or technical trade degree.
