About the role

The company is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the accounting and financial control of its construction operations. The role involves accurate recording, classification, and backup of financial transactions while ensuring compliance with Salvadoran accounting and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain all accounting operations of the company.
• Prepare journal entries, provisions, reclassifications and adjustments.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on identified differences.
• Support monthly closing processes and prepare financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, verifying invoices and supporting documents.
• Maintain project‑related accounting records, including construction costs and expense tracking.
• Assist with tax obligations and prepare required documentation.
• Coordinate with Construction, Purchasing and Administration areas to validate and reconcile financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting.
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting, with minimum 1 year in construction, real‑estate development or related fields.
• Knowledge of Salvadoran accounting standards and tax legislation (IVA, withholdings, etc.).
• Experience in monthly closings, bank reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate) and use of ERP/accounting systems.
