About the role

The Country Manager will lead the business strategy for the agricultural sector in El Salvador, driving market share growth and ensuring operational excellence across the agro‑industrial supply chain. This senior position requires overseeing multidisciplinary teams and acting as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and key institutional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute strategic and financial plans to maximize market presence.
• Lead commercial and technical teams to achieve sales targets and product adoption.
• Oversee operations and supply‑chain activities, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and foster institutional relationships.
• Develop and manage talent, promoting a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Agronomic Engineering, Agronomy (Fitotecnia), Agro‑industry or related non‑technical fields such as Business Administration or Industrial Engineering.
• Post‑graduate studies (MBA, Master in Commercial Management or Agribusiness) highly desirable.
• Proven experience in the agro‑industrial or agricultural inputs sector, leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep knowledge of the Salvadoran agro‑ecosystem, including distributors, service providers and large producers.
• Expertise in agricultural project formulation, operational budgeting and regulatory processes (MAG registrations).
• Strong strategic vision, negotiation, change‑management and results‑orientation.
• Intermediate English proficiency and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to reside in San Salvador and travel as needed.
