About the role

The Food Engineer will join GALCO’s production plant in La Libertad, El Salvador, to design, supervise, and improve food and beverage manufacturing processes. The role ensures compliance with quality and safety standards while supporting continuous operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, monitor, and optimise production processes for food and beverage products.
• Conduct quality control of raw materials and finished goods, generating technical reports and analysing critical process parameters.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to increase yields, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and standardise operating procedures.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and quality regulations.

Required profile

• University degree in Food Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret process, quality, and productivity data.
• Experience in quality control and quality management within the food & beverage industry.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to work onsite in a dynamic plant environment and assume technical responsibilities.
