About the role
We are building a regulated digital‑asset exchange in El Salvador and need a Legal & Compliance Officer to establish robust legal and compliance foundations from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the company’s regulatory framework, covering AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, sanctions and corporate governance.
- Provide practical legal and compliance guidance for product design, customer onboarding, asset listing and market entry.
- Identify and assess regulatory and financial‑crime risks early and advise the business on informed decisions.
- Engage with regulators, banking partners and institutional stakeholders to demonstrate the effectiveness of controls.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for digital‑asset businesses and practical experience in fast‑moving environments.
- Ability to translate legal and compliance considerations into actionable business decisions.
- Experience with AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, sanctions, and corporate governance frameworks.
