Operations Administrator

About the role

Superior Glove, a family-owned manufacturer of hand protection with locations in Canada, the USA, Mexico, Honduras and El Salvador, is hiring an Operations Administrator for its El Salvador facility. Reporting to the El Salvador Plant Manager, the role covers purchasing, planning, inventory, finance administration, systems and general operations, based at the manufacturing site in Zona Franca Internacional, Olocuilta, La Paz.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate local purchasing, obtain quotations and follow up with suppliers, and prepare purchase requests and orders
• Maintain purchasing and supplier records and support local sourcing with the Honduras Procurement team
• Assist with production planning, scheduling and material requirements, track schedules and inventory needs, and flag shortages or delays
• Support receiving, material movements, transfers, cycle counts and physical inventories, and investigate discrepancies
• Maintain accurate transaction and operational data in NetSuite and other systems, and coordinate invoice and purchase order matching
• Prepare and analyze routine manufacturing and operational reports, and coordinate facility records, logistics, customs and Free Trade Zone documentation
• Provide routine finance and accounting administration within internal controls, and assist with HR tasks and coordination with regional and corporate teams

Required profile

• University degree or technical education in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Accounting, Operations Management or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supply chain, finance or administration
• Ability to work independently and coordinate across local, regional and corporate teams; willingness to travel as required
• English at intermediate level is an asset

Required skills

• Strong Excel and general systems skills, with experience using ERP systems
• NetSuite, advanced Excel and manufacturing master data experience preferred
• Exposure to purchasing, production planning, inventory, costing or logistics is an asset
