Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Gildan is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure its application components and programs meet business continuity, usability and quality standards. The role involves designing, executing and documenting test scenarios for both new and existing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test scenarios based on business requirements, architecture guidelines and established standards.
• Validate third‑party solutions with vendors to confirm they meet quality and specification requirements.
• Record defects, enhancements and incidents in the designated tracking tool with clear documentation.
• Train key users on newly implemented applications and components.
• Collaborate with architects, technical leads and business stakeholders to estimate testing timelines and identify optimal testing approaches.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation for decision‑making, issue resolution and solution deployment.

Required profile

• Technical degree, current student, or bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Approximately one year of experience in software quality assurance (preferred).
• One year of experience in software development and systems analysis/design (preferred).
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (preferred).

Required skills

• Relational databases: ANSI SQL, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server.
• Defect‑tracking tools.
• Test methodologies/frameworks (e.g., ISTQB).
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD) tools.
• Programming languages.NET, Java, PHP.
• Web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Angular, Bootstrap.
• Office productivity tools.
