Sales Consultant

About the role

As a Sales Consultant at TELUS Digital, you will work closely with Customer Success to engage existing SMB customers through phone, chat, and scheduled meetings. You will use a consultative approach to understand their accounting, payroll, payments, and bill‑pay processes and recommend cloud‑based solutions that save time and money.

Key responsibilities

• Receive warm hand‑offs from Customer Success and manage inbound interactions with SMB customers.
• Conduct deep, consultative discovery of clients' financial and operational workflows.
• Translate insights into clear, outcome‑based recommendations.
• Guide desktop users to appropriate cloud offerings and help cloud users select plans and ecosystem add‑ons.
• Position the broader ecosystem (payroll, payments, bill‑pay, expert services) as part of the solution.
• Meet targets for unit sales, revenue per interaction, and ecosystem attach rate while maintaining strong relationships.
• Accurately record referral source, conversation outcome, and attach data in the CRM system.
• Participate in coaching and call‑calibration sessions focused on discovery and solution fit.

Required profile

• 2+ years of consultative sales experience (phone and chat), preferably with small‑business customers.
• Strong business acumen and ability to discuss operational efficiencies and cost‑saving opportunities with owners.
• Excellent discovery, objection‑handling, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Comfortable working in a metrics‑driven environment (units, revenue per interaction, attach rate).
