Senior Project Manager – Exterior Construction

About the role

Our client is a premier New York‑based exterior construction and restoration firm specializing in façade restoration, roofing, waterproofing, masonry, concrete, sidewalk replacement, and Local Law 11/FISP compliance projects. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to serve as a key operational leader, taking ownership of execution, building efficient processes, and driving scalable growth across high‑volume exterior construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent exterior construction and restoration projects from initiation through closeout.
• Introduce, build out, and refine internal project‑management systems, tracking tools, workflows, and communication standards.
• Delegate tasks effectively to remote team members and field crews, ensuring accountability and balanced workloads.
• Coordinate seamlessly between subcontractors, field crews, superintendents, vendors, clients, architects, and engineers.
• Maintain detailed project schedules, track critical milestones, and proactively clear operational bottlenecks.
• Track budgets, change orders, procurement, and material deliveries to maintain profitability.
• Coordinate material shipments and field resources to ensure uninterrupted site operations.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, permits, field reports, progress updates, change orders, and general project records.
• Ensure compliance with NYC/NYS building codes, safety regulations, and public project standards.
• Maintain clear, regular communication with property managers, agency contacts, engineers, and internal leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management, specifically managing US‑based exterior construction projects.
• Proven ability to delegate effectively, establish PM processes/KPIs, and lead multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Experience implementing or utilizing modern project‑management tools and platforms.
• Track record of taking unorganized project operations and establishing scalable systems, workflows, and transparent KPIs.
• Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills; comfortable interacting with executive leadership, clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Proactive, organized, and capable of operating independently without heavy supervision.
