SEO Strategist, Senior Living (Remote)

About the role

Blacksmith Agency is an AI-first digital agency looking for an SEO Strategist for a book of senior living clients (senior living operators and home care agencies with many communities). The role is full-time and remote, open to candidates in the USA, Canada, Latin America or South Africa. Paid media is a separate seat with its own strategist, so you will not be split between them.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical SEO roadmap: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Define keyword strategy, on-page optimisation and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Help clients get found in AI search (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity) alongside classic organic results.
• Handle links, local search and multi-location SEO where needed.
• Report in GA4 and Search Console and deliver a quarterly roadmap for each client.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, having run audits and made fixes yourself.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
• SEO for senior living or similar multi-location businesses is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Fluency with Search Console and GA4.
• Screaming Frog.
• Ahrefs or Semrush.

To apply, complete a short online form and then a 6-minute Predictive Index assessment using the same email address.
