About the role

Crowley is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage a broad range of complex accounting functions. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, processing inventory transactions, and supporting accounts receivable activities within a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assign transaction codes to documents and ensure they are recorded in the correct accounting period.
• Post, balance, and close ledgers, maintaining accurate financial statements.
• Process and input inventory transactions, perform reconciliations, and safeguard inventory values.
• Follow up on delinquent accounts receivable customers to secure payments.
• Analyze and verify the internal consistency, completeness, and arithmetic accuracy of account documents, making necessary adjustments.
• Communicate with internal and external customers as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with related coursework or an Associate’s degree.
• 3–5 years of general accounting and related financial experience.
• Proficiency with PC and mainframe accounting systems.
