Supervisor – Sales & Use Tax Automation

About the role

RSM is seeking a seasoned Sales and Use Tax Automation Supervisor to lead its State and Local Transaction Tax Automation practice. You will drive new business, manage client projects, and oversee implementation of leading tax technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage internal and client relationships to generate new tax automation projects.
• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery for tax system implementations using Avalara, Thomson Reuters OneSource, and Vertex.
• Coordinate staff, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Create process maps, system design documentation, configuration, UAT, and training materials.
• Identify and promote add‑on services to grow RSM’s broader service lines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science.
• Minimum four years of experience with large ERP environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain CPA, EA, or similar tax designation (preferred).
