Account Specialist – Client Support for Gift Card Programs

About the role

The Account Specialist supports assigned client accounts, handling day‑to‑day management of gift‑card programs for national brands and digital partners. Working closely with Strategic Relationship Managers and Operations Account Managers, the role ensures client satisfaction, smooth program execution, and continuous portfolio optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary daily contact for client inquiries, requests, and operational needs.
• Prepare and deliver recurring and ad‑hoc reports with actionable insights.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert on Blackhawk products, services, and processes.
• Support onboarding of new brands and maintain existing brand content, approvals, and launch coordination.
• Conduct website audits and program reviews to verify content accuracy and promotional execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, Technology) to meet client objectives.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational and technical issues, coordinating resolution with appropriate teams.
• Maintain accurate account documentation, records, and status updates.

Required profile

• 2+ years of account management experience, preferably in e‑commerce or retail.
• Strong organizational and project‑management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
