Accountant III – General Ledger

About the role

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our Global Financial Services Center in El Salvador. The role focuses on high‑volume transactional reconciliations, preparation of financial and management reporting data, and ad‑hoc analysis of account trends and variances. You will work closely with settlement, corporate accounting, and cross‑functional teams to ensure data integrity and support our growing global business.

Key responsibilities

• Perform high‑volume, complex account reconciliations, identify risk areas and develop mitigation processes.
• Execute period‑end duties including accruals and schedule preparation to support accurate financial results.
• Collaborate with internal and external parties to resolve discrepancies and maintain timely financial statements.
• Drive variance analysis and produce ad‑hoc financial and management reports as required.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Support departmental goals, provide cross‑training and cover additional responsibilities when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Full cycle financial closing experience, including revenue recognition, accruals, and account reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Proven ability to identify automation opportunities and improve processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Microsoft Dynamics (or other ERP systems).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
