Accounting Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Advisor to support small businesses and entrepreneurs with accurate, timely, and meaningful financial information. You will handle monthly bookkeeping, maintain financial records, and assist with payroll and tax processes.

Key responsibilities

• Categorize and maintain financial transactions in Xero
• Reconcile bank, credit‑card, and other financial accounts
• Prepare and review Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet statements
• Review payroll and tax information using Gusto
• Complete monthly bookkeeping close activities for a high volume of accounts
• Manage up to 100 accounts per month, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Collaborate with accounting teams and advisors to maintain high‑quality records
• Provide clear, professional support to clients via email
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Experience supporting U.S.‑based or multinational clients
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification is a plus
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax principles, or SOX compliance is advantageous
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and professional communication in English
