Accounting Assistant (Asistente Contable)

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to support our finance team in a dynamic aviation‑catering environment. The role involves maintaining cost data, controlling inventories, and ensuring accurate accounting records for our operations across the Caribbean and Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Keep recipes up‑to‑date in close collaboration with the Executive Chef and update cost bases for raw materials and packaging.
• Conduct regular inventory control audits and assist with physical inventory counts every ten days across all areas.
• Value inventories of raw materials, work‑in‑process items, and finished goods.
• Prepare accounting reconciliations for monthly closings.
• Work with the purchasing manager to verify the lowest possible costs while maintaining product quality.
• Ensure correct accounting entries for all inventory control transactions.
• Record minutes of product destruction for sales points and the central plant.
• Update waste (merma) and yield data for all raw materials used in product preparation.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in accounting, cost analysis, or inventory management, preferably in the food‑service or aviation sector.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with chefs, purchasing, and operations teams.
