Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage payment applications, review financial information, and keep accurate accounting records. This position requires strong attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities, and critical‑thinking skills to investigate discrepancies and maintain up‑to‑date account balances.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and verify payment information and supporting documentation before applying payments to client accounts.
• Accurately apply payments, reconcile client account balances, and maintain up‑to‑date accounts receivable records.
• Identify and research discrepancies, coordinate with internal departments for clarification, and determine appropriate resolutions.
• Prepare accounts receivable reports, support month‑end and year‑end close activities, and assist with audits.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend workflow improvements while handling confidential financial data professionally.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when analyzing financial data.
• Proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to resolve account discrepancies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to maintain meticulous records and handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with accounting or financial management software (preferred).
