Associate, Healthcare Compliance

About the role

RSM’s National Healthcare Consulting practice is seeking an Associate to deliver regulatory and reimbursement consulting services. You will work with a collaborative team to support clients in navigating Medicare, Medicaid, and other third‑party reimbursement requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships to build loyalty and confidence.
• Assist in scoping, planning, and executing multiple consulting projects.
• Perform Medicare Cost Report compilations and related regulatory recovery engagements, including Critical Access Hospital, Medicare DSH, SSI, bad debts, IME/GME shadow billing, Medicaid HER incentive payments, and Wage Index analysis.
• Analyze and communicate financial and operational data to support client decision‑making and strategic planning.
• Maintain expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and third‑party reimbursement procedures and reports.
• Contribute to the development of new consulting products and practice aids.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement, cost accounting, audit, or consulting within the healthcare industry.
