Behavioral Health Appointment Setter (Remote)

About the role

Our client seeks a motivated Behavioral Health Appointment Setter to boost provider schedules through high‑volume outbound patient outreach. This remote position focuses exclusively on filling behavioral health appointments, not general virtual assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective, existing, and inactive patients to schedule behavioral health visits.
• Convert inquiries and leads into confirmed appointments, meeting daily and weekly KPIs.
• Re‑engage inactive patients, follow up on no‑shows, referrals, and missed opportunities.
• Handle objections professionally and encourage patients to book.
• Document all interactions, outcomes, and appointment details accurately in the EMR.
• Coordinate with providers and internal teams to optimize appointment availability.
• Participate in daily team meetings and report on scheduling performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of outbound appointment setting, patient scheduling, or healthcare sales experience.
• Prior experience in a behavioral or mental health practice.
• Proven ability to convert leads into scheduled appointments.
• Strong objection‑handling and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written English with a confident phone presence.
• Comfortable working in a KPI‑driven environment with daily call targets.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
