Bilingual Medical Patient Coordinator

About the role

The client is a U.S.-based ultrasound imaging practice seeking a remote, bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Patient Coordinator to manage patient communications, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and remote front‑desk support.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and route high volumes of inbound patient calls in English and Spanish, using RingCentral.
• Verify U.S. insurance eligibility, benefits, and calculate out‑of‑pocket cost estimates for patients.
• Schedule appointments, collect and confirm patient demographic and insurance information, and maintain accurate records.
• Provide remote front‑desk assistance during busy clinic hours, supporting on‑site staff with patient check‑ins via tablet or camera.
• Document all interactions in clinic systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Required profile

• Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish (mandatory).
• Experience in U.S. healthcare administration, medical reception, or virtual medical assistance.
• Hands‑on experience with insurance eligibility verification and cost estimation.
• Ability to handle high call volumes, multitask, and work independently.

Required skills

• RingCentral for inbound/outbound communications.
• EMSOW PACS (cloud‑based ultrasound imaging system) – training provided.
