Business Logic Expert – AI & E‑commerce (English required)

About the role

Join TELUS Digital, the digital arm of TELUS, and help create intelligent e‑commerce solutions for leading global brands. As a Business Logic Expert specialized in AI, you will be the human brain training product recommendation algorithms. You will work with massive catalogs (thousands to millions of items) and ensure every suggestion to shoppers is relevant, coherent, and commercially profitable.

Main responsibilities

• Product pairing creation: associate items by color, pattern, style or function to guarantee a harmonious visual experience.
• Compatibility verification: ensure recommended products truly work together (e.g., matching wheel groups and tires for gravel vs. road cycling).
• Metadata analysis: consider gender, price range, seasonality and brand specifics to refine recommendations.
• Data integrity maintenance: structure and clean matching lists according to each category and client’s guidelines.
• Sector research: quickly learn new domains (ski, fitness, high‑tech accessories, etc.) to propose optimal associations.
• Collaboration with AI teams: provide qualitative feedback to data scientists to improve machine‑learning models.
• Reporting: track performance indicators (click‑through rate, conversion, average basket) and suggest continuous optimizations.

Profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in search relevance, product categorization, e‑commerce content moderation or data annotation.
• University degree (Bac+3 or higher) in any field.
• Strong analytical skills and technical curiosity; ability to quickly understand and differentiate highly technical products.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); French is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, rigorous, and comfortable handling large data volumes.
• Self‑starter with initiative and ability to work in a multicultural team (international clients, AI teams, project managers).

Position based in San Salvador, El Salvador, with the option to work remotely from any country as long as coordination hours with the team (GMT‑6) are respected.
