About the role
The Chicken Catcher is responsible for safely handling live chickens, moving them from the coop to transport trucks, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the process.
Key responsibilities
- Catch and lift chickens according to supervisor instructions.
- Transport birds from the coop to loading trucks while maintaining proper handling to avoid bruises.
- Verify bird quality, rejecting any chicken that is underweight or of poor condition.
- Report any incidents or quality issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Work in environments with dust, moisture, ammonia and occasional rain, adapting to physical demands.
Required profile
- Primary education (at least fourth grade).
- Student in fourth grade or higher, with basic math skills.
- Minimum six months experience in similar poultry handling positions.
- Ability to perform physical work and night shifts.
