Compliance Associate (Crypto/Digital Assets)

About the role

A US-based digital asset liquidity and trading technology provider is hiring a Compliance Associate through its recruiter, South. The role reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and works remotely, aligned with EST working hours Monday to Friday. It is open to candidates residing in Latin America; the CV must be submitted in English.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve onboarding applications and account decisions for low- and medium-risk clients, escalating high-risk cases to the CCO
• Monitor the client maintenance pipeline so periodic reviews, document refreshes and re-screenings stay on schedule
• Manage due diligence for new and existing vendors, banking partners and counterparties
• Prepare regular compliance status reports for the CCO on open items, backlogs and emerging risks
• Conduct first-level reviews of fiat transactions, flagging suspicious patterns and escalating them
• Own the end-to-end client onboarding workflow between Business Development and Compliance
• Review wallet whitelisting submissions in Reactor, escalate high-risk wallets, and keep documentation in ShareFile
• Perform bank whitelisting checks and KYT alert management, and handle ongoing client monitoring alerts

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in compliance or a related field
• Previous experience in the crypto/digital asset industry
• Hands-on experience with KYC/KYB, AML, client due diligence and ongoing monitoring
• Experience reviewing transaction monitoring or KYT alerts and escalating suspicious activity
• Experience with compliance case management, documentation and escalation processes
• Advanced level of English

Required skills

• Familiarity with Chainalysis
• Attention to detail and ability to run several compliance processes at once
