Compliance Manager – El Salvador

About the role

OKX, a leading crypto exchange, is expanding its regulated presence across Latin America. We are seeking a senior compliance professional to lead AML/CFT compliance for El Salvador and provide ongoing support for other LATAM jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the AML/CFT compliance program for El Salvador in line with global standards.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives across operational workflows and control frameworks throughout LATAM.
• Act as the primary liaison between the global compliance operations team and the regional team, ensuring alignment on policies, procedures and escalation protocols.
• Develop scalable solutions for operational efficiency and anticipate regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Risk and Product teams to address regulatory challenges.
• Share knowledge across compliance functions and support regional training efforts.

Required profile

• Senior compliance professional with extensive AML/CFT experience.
• Proven ability to make senior risk‑based judgments on complex alerts and cases.
• Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements in El Salvador and LATAM.
• Independent, proactive leader capable of driving process improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with global and regional stakeholders.
